    Both conditioned by societal rules
    Media images so deeply rooted
For some a lifetime to find their own voice
Both look to their hearts when making a choice

    “Men are like this”
    “Woman are like that”
    Presentations provide an age-old illusion
    Understanding is often difficult
Working both ways is this similar confusion

Both so capable of being weak
Both so capable of being strong
But to preserve an image of what each other will see
They deny each other the right to be wrong

Men and Women not different at all
    Just different perspectives
When they rise and when they fall
So much alike when dealing with each other
Both looking for themselves when looking at their lover

    The feelings of joy
    The feelings of pain
    The packaging is different
But inside it’s all the same
