    My ears become consumed,
    With car tunes,
Clouding my spirit like smoke fumes.
Lyrics intended to set the mood,
    Not meant for solitude,
    But for intimacy,
Apparently, if you’re ready or not,
Even if you’re with another or alone,
    It’s still setting the tone,
    For romance, loving hands,
    Surrounding and stroking,
As just a few physical tokens,
    Of his love for me.
But as much as the slow jams,
    Smooth jazz,
Show off the effect that it has,
With all of the lines dripping sweet,
    Turning on the heat,
With all aims to try and lead you to the sheets,
I still look over to the side,
And only see an empty car seat…
