Black Children : Maybe it's just me

Maybe it's just me but it seems like people don't understand when you insult someones race right in front of them they're going to be mad about it. Whether you were talking directly to them or not is not the point. But then again maybe I'm taking this to seriously. I don't know maybe it's just me

My daughter has a white friend.
I know she doesn't know any better but she told my daughter she was not allowed to say the n-word.
She states she was watching Bet and she heard it there so she repeated it to my baby.
My thing is why did she feel the need to say this to my daughter.
I was very upset but my daughter wasn't.
I told her to tell her friend to never ever say that word again.
It's a form of oppression not expression.
Alot of us are guilty of saying this especially in front of whites and hispanics and in turn they think it's some hip slang word that should be tossed around as needed.
Address the issue right away so there wont be any more of this!
