Black People : Massive protest in London over Budget Cuts

Do you always create threads with the specific attention of arguing (not debating) with someone. No one is ducking anything so stop trying to make something out of nothing. Ive done told you - tea and crumpets wasn't what awaited Caribbeans (Mainly Jamaicans) when they stepped out off the boat and the streets were not paved with gold. NO BLACKS NO DOGS NO IRISH is what awaited them and many Jamaicans went back to Jamaica.

I don't know who you think you are fam but you aren't Malcom X - I'll tell you that. Our forefathers are mainly from Jamaica and other parts of the Caribbean - were they not enslaved against their will? We are well aware that African Americans probably suffered the worst of the ordeal partly because their condition was sanctified by law. But we can't be here aruguing over who suffered worst - that is just foolishness, we all live at the bottom of the white mans society whether it be America, Australia or England.
:thanks:

Its a pointless and fruitless argument. Its kind of like people who say Englands ghettos pale in comparision to the USA's Ghettos but then someone from the poorest part of Africa will come to both countries and make the case that both of those ghettos pale in comparison to their own. Arguing over who got the best piece of trash when were all at the bottom of the pile.

You know what the problems will be - Isn't it said that when White America catches a financial cold, Black America catches pneumonia? Why do you think its going to be any different here? This may be a generalization but the majority of Blacks in the UK aren't even aware let alone trying to defend UK's corruption.

And for the record - i'm sure their are plenty of African Americans who make excuses for USA corruption. For someone who claims to know so much - you always seem to contradict yourself . Are you seriously going to try to paint African Americans as one politically unified group?

awesome!

How will these cuts effect the Black population of UK?

Tens of thousands protest in London over cuts
Violence feared as biggest demonstration since Iraq War in 2003 masses on British capital
Reuters

LONDON — Tens of thousands of Britons are expected to protest against the coalition government's austerity measures on Saturday in the biggest demonstration in the capital since the Iraq War in 2003.

Union leaders say more than 200,000 people could join the demonstration, angry at deep public spending cuts, rising unemployment, tax rises and pension reforms against a backdrop of falling or frozen wages and higher prices.

The Conservative-led government is pushing ahead with a tough debt-reduction program to virtually eliminate a budget deficit, currently running at about 10 percent of GDP, by 2015 in order to protect Britain's triple-A credit rating.

However, unions argue the measures go too far, too fast and are both economically unsound — putting future growth at risk — and are also causing misery to millions of ordinary Britons, with unemployment at its highest level since 1994.

There are Black folks in UK from all over the planet, and no this isn't just about one island or one nation or one continet.

If this is a personal issue as mentioned

my view is Pan African, and Black nationalist, now if there are those who

are concerned about the well being of the masses of Black folks in UK, and what kind of hell they will be catching form this

then that info would inspire us here and wherever opn the planet to seek methodologies of brainstorming some solutions since

to some the term brainstorming seems to sound

too much like work:qqb009::SuN016:

What is amazing is that after all the responses no one has yet adressed this question,

Black Activists Rising Against the Cuts (BARAC) UK Briefing Paper. The first cut is the deepest…

Black Activists Rising Against the Cuts: BARAC.

1. We are a coalition of black, public and voluntary sector workers, trade unionists, community organisations, service users and concerned individuals whose aim is to create a critical mass of opposition to the Government plans to cut vital services and sack thousands of public sector workers, including many black workers, across the country. BARAC has been formed to help coordinate and lead a broad based campaign involving black trade unionists, the black voluntary sector and the wider black community in opposing these devastating cuts and highlighting the massive disproportionate economic impact on black communities and black workers.
