THE MASSACRE OF 9 Black Church members in SC: & the sexual politics of the crumbs of Jim Crow By Andre Austin The 100 year anniversary of the racist movie The Birth of a Nation (1915) is still having a lingering effect from its crumbs of hate on America. The movie helped to resurrect the membership of the US homegrown terrorist group of the KKK (f. 1866 in Tennessee). One of the main plots of the movie was portraying black men with shifting eyes attempting to rape a pure virgin white female and the taking of political power. From the president on down to a farm worker laugh at black men sitting in Congress with their boots off on a desk eating chicken and drinking whiskey. Where did Dylann Roof learn his hate from? His reason for killing 9 black people he said because African-Americans guilty of rape towards white women. In reality Roof was trying to project his own sexual frustration on to black people. Psychiatrist like Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, in her book, The Isis Papers cites racism and the fear of white genetic survival for fear and hatred of the black man’s penis and super sperm for all of the violence segregation. Thank God for a prayer of a white women’s ( Debbie Dills) tip to police that lead to Roof’s capture. Short history of Jim Crow: 1865-1965 Jim Crow started in America the day after the North won the Civil War in 1865 and really didn’t end until 1965 when new Civil Rights legislation was passed for blacks with voting. The Supreme Court codified Jim Crow in 1896 with its infamous case of Plessy vs. Fergusson making segregation legal as long as it was “Separate but equal”. This law of the land was overturned on paper in 1954 with the Brown vs School Board. Meanwhile between 1889-1918 some 3,000 blacks were lynched (The equivalent of 1 9-11 terrorist attack). 19% of these 3,000 killings were accused of rape while they were accused of theft, arson, code violation, economic competition, insubordination, laughing at the wrong time, prolonged silence, not tipping your hat, stepping off the sidewalk, and disputes over crop settlements. The media whip of the fear of rape in virtual all cases of lynching in order to sensationalize and justify the lynching (See Trouble in Mind :Black Southerners in the age of Jim Crow (1998) By Leon Litwack pp.306-307. White folks had their picnics when they whip, clipped and hung black men from their learning Trees. They even had the guts and had the audacity to pickle body parts in mason jars to sell in doors or keep as souvenirs. This was the ways of whitefolks, living in a fantasy land of a frozen dream; a blackman’s nightmare. The Reality of Sex crimes between Blacks & Whites The truth behind the politics of sex and crime was that the Whiteman was taking advantage of the Black woman before, during and after slavery. For example: One of the best books to come out of the Harlem Renaissance was Cane (1923)by Jean Toomer. “It explores the black experience in White America…The book is at its most powerful when it looks at the lives of racially oppressed and sexually exploited black women”. Everybody say Freedom: Everything you need to know about African-American History By Richard Newman p.182-183. College campuses stir away from this book and others and give students Zora Neal Hurston whose writings about anything offensive to white folks were edited out. In contemporary times the book Cane was very controversial. Langston Hughes made his comments in 1926: “ The Negro artist works against an undertow of sharp criticism and misunderstandings…Oh be respectable, write about nice people, show how good we are, say the Negroes. Be stereotyped, don’t go too far, don’t shatter our illusions about you, don’t amuse us too seriously. We will pay you, say the whites. Both would have told Jean Toomer not to write Cane. The colored people did not praise it. The white people did not buy it. Most of the colored people who did read Cane hate it. They are afraid of it…Cane contains the finest prose written by a Negro in America. And like the singing of Robeson, its truly racial” (Norton’s Anthology of Black Lit p.1270) Back then and even now Black and white people didn’t want to deal with the fiction/non-fiction of sex crimes between the races. Well we can’t even deal with the reality of a poor black family on TV. Since Good Times stop filming in the late 70’s we only wanted to see blacks as upper class like in The Cosby show and all the ghetto poor blacks were left invisible in Hollywood. Now we have some pretenders like white Rachel Dolezal who links herself up with the experience of black females struggles. In reality Dolezal didn’t have the experience or ancestors who had to works as maids in white people’s houses and fight off the sexual advances of white men. Now she is a celebrity and Hollywood will be Hollywood and will attempt to cash in on her deceptions. To be fair everybody should be truthful in their biography. It has come to my attention that Barack Obama gave a counterfeit biography of who his real dad was. His half brother wants a DNA because he doubts Obama have the same father. His real dad is Frank Marshall Davis and his children look just like Obama. Voters have the right to know the truth from its elected leader black or white but that’s another story. In Conclusion: The media will not focus on Roof’s delusions of black men raping white women because like the Cane novel its just too deep. So they will focus on the confederate flag and his mental health illness. Racism is a mental illness and suffer under racism can cause mental health break down over time. Just because we got a black president doesn’t mean crumbs of Jim Crow has been swept away.
