I guess it was the hope of many that as folks saw and witnessed the pride and dignity instilled in young women in the MGT of the NOI during the 60s that , there would be a secular nationwide organization, based on the teachings and philosophies of Nana Bethune (PBUH) to encourage Black girls and adolescents .
