A great man Martain Luther King
Who had love in his heart for every human being
He gave his life for freedom and rights
To open our eyes hoping we would see the light
He had peace in his heart for his fellow man
He gave his love without demands
    Non-violence as plain as day
Before the coming of his dream he was taken away
His dream and thoughts will always live
He gave to the world as much as he could give
One day we'll hold hands and shed a tear
And in our minds his voice we'll always hear
Martain Luther King Jr a great man indeed
Who could love and also lead
He wanted us to have love within
And not judge a person by the color of their skin
Martin Luther King Jr's body is gone
But his dream and his spirit will forever live on

It don't have to be a holiday to remember

No it don't have to be a holiday to remember. I wake up remembering, I go to sleep remembering...and as long as we remembe, we'll know what we have to do. Nicae piece.

Now that I'm older, I fully appreciate the selfless ways of Rev. King.

A lot was done with him at the helm & I wish I was present 2 have heard him speak at least once.

Thank U 4 this piece on his day of remembrance.

    Peace.

    I watched "LIKE IT IS " with Gil Noble this week, which did a special on Dr. King. They played speeches that few if any have ever heard. His program ended with something he said that every black person needs to live by: He said;

"I'm 36, and if you're 36 or any age, and you see social injustices taking place...and you do nothing for fear that you're going to lose your job, or fear that your home is going to get bombed, or fear that the state troopers are going to beat you down...you may live to be 80 years old,but you didn't really live to 80, you're just breathing...for you were dead a long time ago in your spirit."

THAT GAVE ME A WHOLE DIFFERENT RESPECT FOR HIM OUTSIDE OF WHAT I HELD.
