I guess I should have thought about my grandmother being maybe part black before - after all coming from Louisiana she might even be part creole or something. Just everyone had always said grandpa married a white girl (?) Maybe that's just how 'she' saw herself.

That's true about my grandfather - I always tend to think of him as just black, but from what I've read 1/8 th White wouldn't be impossible - you'd still look pretty dark with only that much white.

Well, the results will hopefully be waiting for me when I get back off this trip, and being out having some fun for a week will take my mind off it, so I won't get too impatient.
