Maple...
...xtracts like thick and sticky,
and drizzles like slow and sweet;
exuding- just enough- heat
for apple green (her)mo sapiens
to mistake her chicness for conceit;
as they rest on the brink of inevitability,
more accurately known as,
social defeat;
contriving their own false theories,
as to, why their men, realistically, want to eat
from a plate
introduced to and,
previously, saturate...
...ed in maple dress~
ing;
where a maple 'mess'
could be considered,
no less,
than a maple bless~
ing.
And, because she has the ability
to fondle the sweet tooth;
striking nerves strong enough to raise nature,
and unbend the irony of the most crooked truth,
'old fashioned' states of mind,
do, tend to find
her methods, a bit, uncouth.
Though-
assuming most men have had their shares
of 'maple syrup breakfasts',
where, in the aftermath, they'd orally :tongue: remove any visible
xtract residue,
just before placing their dishes in the sink-
one would assume her methods aren't half bad...
...but, merely, out of curiosity,
what do you think?

i think..

a taste of the maply one
should be done
if done it must
in dawn's early light
if not this night

to wake
if i may
to the full plate
of tangy syrup
stirred
thickly
from the depths of her...
WAIT.
don't unbend my crooked truth
let me wallow in the throes of deceit
one moment more
before you toss me out the door
let me taste the sweetness of delicious xtracts
of a maply hue
that i might get with you
one last time.

THAT'S WHAT I THINK.
