i notice that the news has been blacked out today.

It might be blacked out where you at but I stated in previous posts what's going on today.

The sensationalism is dying down in the national news because of the snow storms on the east coast.

The manhunt has been in the news here all day, including some rumors that he entered the police station downtown but that was dispelled on the four o'clock news.
