Miss that part in your Bible?
    No more dependence (period)

    *wondering* {Is the trademark amusement of $$RICH$$'s replies deliberate, or is it just me?}

    Each side to be considered...

And it will be some time before I am in the Lioness's shoes, but have been a past significant other to a cub/lion whose lioness refused (still refuses) to allow him to grow and mature. This was an extreme case, hence my response to this wonderful Haiku.

But I do sympathize with the Lioness who is simply experiencing the natural hesitation to allow a harsh and uncertain world to have her "baby". This is a critical topic, and I thank you for broaching it here.

    Beginning early,
    Manhood grooming need transpire
    Lest child-man result.

    Love and gratitude
    Payment for a job well-done
    Unbreakable bond.

    Balance is the key
    Care for wife, offspring, parents
    With autonomy.

    Nia,

I seriously can't see myself being one of
    those mothers who become OVERLY
    involved in her son's relationships.
I'm purely speaking on the fact....
He doesn't need me as much...
he goes to his father (it seems) more now.
He doesn't look to me for the Ol'Mighty answers.
Do I sound pitiful? Reading this I'm making myself, :puke:
but me can't help it.:bawling:

    he has assured me
    cultivation has rooted
    my heart is at peace.

    though he may stumble
    become discourage at times
    he's on solid ground

    when I am needed
    the door is always open
    he knows his way home

Nia, Thank you. This helps. :)

    Awwwwww.....

I almost shed a tear myself when I read your words and saw you  at the end of the statement about his sudden change of mentors. Praying for a most smooth transition for you.

    Beautiful, beautiful Haiku.
