I'd like to suggest, if at all possible, that we be given the ability to remove
individual THANK YOUs from our REPUTATION RECEIVED window. I don't know
if that is a function of the software or what but It would be nice to be able
to look at that window and know that it was all appreciation.. There are users
on Destee, that use the THANK YOU to mean something like "GO TO HELL". And to have
those THANK YOUs staring at you whenever you open your CONTROL PANEL is
almost a form of psychological warfare... So, my suggestion is that some way
or process be created to delete unwanted THANK YOUs... thank you.

Great observation, Brother Skuderjaymes! :toast:

I, too, have received some "Thank Yous" that may appear suspiciously LESS than sincere.

However, as there is not, presently, an available feature for members to "remove" those unwanted "Thank Yous" ourselves, IMO, that would place an extra task on the plates of the "Moderating Team" in order to honor requests for removal of specified "Thank Yous."

I would suggest that we all not allow ourselves to be inordinately affected by the "click" of a button.

I do know that the Moderating Team can/will delete an offensive "Profile Message" from your page if requested; but I think it would be a rather tedious task to ask the Mod Team to delete "Thank Yous" when we could all just "keep it moving."

IMO, most of us can tell "friend" from "foe."

So, we can all be appreciative of the sincere praise and agreement of those who earnestly mean their "Thank Yous;" and we can over-look the rest.

well, that it doesn't bother you doesn't suprise me, especially since the
THANK YOUs I'm referring to were all done by you. So, you not seeing
this as a worthy issue is not really saying very much. But, the fact that
you knew I was talking about you and that you decided to jump in here and
attempt to minimize my request, tells me that I took you off of ignore too
soon.

The way this whole thing went down has me wondering about who you
really are... and what level of access you have on this board. Just before I
made this post, I sent a message to the webmaster asking that
your thank you's be removed from my Reputation Received window.. and
now, after all this time of not communicating, here you come out of the blue
with this passive-aggressive attempt to undercut my suggestion. I don't know
if you are a moderator or a friend of a moderator or what, but I really don't
want to deal with you.

Well, Brother Skuderjaymes, do, by all means, put me BACK on "IGNORE."

And if the Moderators are able to accommodate you on the removal of those "Thank Yous," then ALL THE BETTER! :toast:

No, I don't have such a problem with seemingly "insincere" Thank Yous and you obviously do.

After your reaction to my poem response to yours, I don't think you could recognize a sincere Thank You if somebody slapped you with a Hallmark card.

But, KNOW THIS, yes, you can put me on "Ignore."

Yes, you may be able to have my "Thank Yous" removed.

Yes, I have agreed to ignore your poetry.

But, as long as I do so with respect, I can post in any thread on this site.
I don't have to refrain nor am restricted from responding to you or any of your threads just because you don't like me.

Like I said before, that's YOUR problem, not mine.

It's been a good while, but this place has always been home. Thankful to be here.
Hi! I'm not as active on this account as I want to be. For one I tend to forget that this site exists until I check my email. Two, I'm currently in the process of building up a fine art site for Oklahoma black and native historical references. The references correlate with another site that will be a storytelling site that has not yet been produced.
Happy to be back and gaining more knowledge!
