Black Relationships : males opinions on dating single mothers

Kemestry, feel free to post your studies that you claim support your belief that only two parents can "raise a child right." But in the meantime, please understand that if this can be statistically supported, it's my opinion that the data is flawed and biased because there is enough real proof to the contrary that single parents are and can be just as effective at parenting as couples and this flies in the face of your argument. As of now, it takes a sperm and an egg to make a baby but not necessarily both genders to raise it and healthily so. Not ALL single parents are the low-lifes of the earth as you tend to paint them to be, just like all two-parent households aren't healthy nor do they always provide the best environment for their children. Wouldn't you agree that it's up to the character make-up of the individuals involved that determines outcomes?

Back to the topic at hand...male opinions on dating single mothers. I'm not male but I would like to comment. This is like anything in life....some men don't have a problem with dating single mothers and some do. In actuality, it's really as simple as that and that's okay. There is no blanket statement that defines or can describe a woman who is single and a parent, other than she is a woman and has a child. Can this really be an issue of morality according to someone's religious beliefs? It's should be up to the woman to demonstrate who she is as an individual, in my opinion. Some women are phenomenal and will excel at whatever they do. Some women struggle and it will impact her family as well.

That will be a separate thread. It has nothing to do with this topic

NNQ, if you check the data (national crime statistics, Uniform Crime Report, teen pregnancy statistics from any state, CDC reports, etc.) you would find that there are two common variables across the board with these populations: predominately they 1) come from single parent households, and 2) they have no solid faith-based affiliation (for those incarcerated, prior to their incarceration. Once in, it is not unusual for many of them to “find religion.”)

if you check the data on those who are running the country into war and bankrupting the national treasure you will find they come from two parent households and have strong religious backgrounds.........
