    Gandhi his name
    Mohandas K. Gandhi
    ‘Mahatma’ they called him
    India tried to proclaimed him
But Gandhi belongs to the World
The simple brown man in loin cloth
He was not born a brilliant painter
Nor was he a ruler of any land
But one thing he is certain
    A speaker for mankind
    Stood for humanity
    A free spirit of life

    GANDHI

    Destined to lead
    Stood for right & just
    Born to serve the people
    He didn’t boast any wealth
Died having served a just cause
The simple brown man in loin cloth
Gave his life for humanity & peace
Society tends to forget his work
And for what he had stood for
    As history soon repeats itself
For men has yet to learn
    From the true likes of

    MAHATMA
    GANDHI

The little man in loin cloth
But when he rose was a giant tall
Renowned & recognized by the World
Through all of his contributions and efforts
To restore some sense of sanity back to the people
To unite all the people, despite their believe and religion
Indians, Muslim, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhist, Jews all loved him
They were all children of God to him and to what he had believed in
The colonial empire hated him for his courage and determination
Bruised his skin, broke his bones and imprisoned him in jail
Neither of these broke his spirit for he foresaw a purpose
The people loved him for his strive for peace & unity
Others hated him for standing their end purpose
To divide the people and gathers richness
At the expense of the mass sufferings
A human bondage to the many
Living in the sense of dying
    Until they were freed
    From the bellies
    Of Human
    Lust

    MAHATMA

    ‘The Great Soul’
    The people name him
    Some would call him ‘Bapu’
Meaning be ‘Father’ to them all
Started his earlier effort in Africa
And later went back to free his people
Most importantly to free the human spirit
Of all the tyranny and of all the mass evil
This simple brown man in loin cloth
He went into a hunger strike twice
    Until the mass killing stopped
    The people had then learned
    To love instead of hating
    The human qualities
    And of conscience

    GANDHI

    A name in history
    One would remember
He had bore all the pains
    He didn’t boast any wealth
    Gunned down for his believes
He died but his spirit lives on by
In those fighting for the same cause
Gave his life for humanity & peace
Society tends to forget his work
And for what he had stood for
    As history soon repeats itself
    Repeated Hatred & Killings
In men’s heart to this day
For men has yet to learn
    From the true likes of

    MAHATMA GANDHI
    ‘MAHATMA’
    (THE GREAT SOUL)

He does not belong to India
He belongs to the whole World
The World of the Human Kind
The World of Humanity & Compassion

Thank you for checking this piece out. I guess we can all learn from many great people from the past & present and from any country, people or culture for that matter. We can learn tremendously and try to emulate for the greatness they stood up for. I hope this will be a start of series of tributes to such men for me and I'll table it to the floor so that we all can grow together and expand instead of shrinking and sinking down the clouded souls... ~TG~
