I'd really rather not know what's going on in her head. Any way it goes, it's all bad.

    Wow!

It takes two to make a precious baby. Where da daddy?

Young mother, where is the daddy? Where's the support?

maggots...in the baby diaper...somebody needs to pay...someone should be charged for that, but I'm not sayin it should be her at all. There needs to be more people responsible for a baby's care, not just the mother. She needs help. Mothers need help.

Thank you Sister MsVera for sharing.

This is sad ... and while my heart goes out to the Momma ... the baby is of greatest concern.

The Momma looks like a child herself, though it says she's 20, which isn't much more than a child.

The kind of preparation and training she rec'd, prior to becoming a Mother, might explain some of this.

So many young girls end up pregnant, without any clue at all, as to what is required of her to do the job.

Without wise parents of her own, supportive Family and Community, the odds are against the young Mother.

But at this point ... the young Mother is an adult ... and the first concern must be given to the child.

Maggots in the baby's diaper?! No sense of responsibility to even clean the baby up before going to the hospital?

I'm reminded of the often told caution ... to always wear clean panties ... in case you end up at the hospital.

I guess this young Mother never rec'd that lesson, for surely she would have cleaned her baby's bottom if she had.

Babies making and raising babies ... this is what it can lead to ... without proper guidance and direction.

    Love You!

Hey Sister Destee. Missed the hair. :)
Though I can agree with you on some of what you said, it doesn't take much knowledge or training to know to change the baby's diaper. The article even said that there was formula & diapers found in her place, which tells me she at least had the basic needs for the baby in the home. But for her not to at the very least change the diaper before taking the baby to the hospital...........that's just laziness or mental illness.

Hey Brother Kamua ...

Yeah ... something is mighty wrong ... maggots?! ... please ... i'd die if a maggot was on me ... but a baby?!!!

In the baby's diaper ... oh my gosh ... how long they been there?! ... it's too awful to really think about.

Something is wrong with the young Sister, she's overwhelmed, not able to handle this great responsibility.

The baby needed to be rescued ... until the Momma can get herself together ... she's just not ready.

Like you said ... be it due to laziness, mental illness or whatever ... it needs to be fixed before the baby comes back.

    Love You!
