    A hurdle? A Mountain?
    What difference does it make?
They are both obstacles that require
common sense to abscond with foolishness
in order to achieve and surpass the goal
    putting stereotypical preconceptions
into well deserved and over due graves
waiting too long for their reception.

    Lower the rugged mountain,
the jagged peak, so that I may pass
is an unworthy and irresolute refrain
    signifying capitulation to the task
    and Southern exposure cannot compete
because stiff winds stagger our step
making our gait slow and unsteady
with reason to give quarter, and yet,
rims still tower ten feet as before,
gridirons are not reduced in yardage,
feet still dance without unusual dispensation,
    voices make music without concession,
It is directed ability, talent and determination
that forge the internal iron and necessary steel
that holds us erect and unbowed
challenging the bar where it sits.

This is in response to those who think we should scrap the ACT test and others like it, saying that they are culturally biased and unfair. Perhaps they are, but we have managed to surpass all the hurdles put before us in the past and I see know reason why we can’t jump this one also. It is a point of honor because if the test is ever changed, we will always be looked on as inferior. Regardless of its fairness or applicability, lets beat this test and put those thoughts in the ground where they belong.

    U know thats a fact

it's most def an honor besides the challenge and hurdles
we face and jump only make it worthy and we with stand
it all .....back then and can now!
it's a great defeat.....so why change it now
