    It has been awhile

    Since

    I've let love wrap

    Itself

    Around me.

    At this timethe view

Is set out of my way.

    The word going down

    On

    Selfishly dehydrated trees.

    Not coming alive again

    Only within which needs moisture.

    Tears of disgrace

    For some things only viewed

    Not fealt

    But the beat

A thump of wet love words

    Imagined

    Then lived

    By way of past growth

    Giving way

For true love wrote for you

    Never to tear us apart.

    Happy Valentines Day

    Inked line by line

Like the ages we all wear.

    Love Lives in different ways.
