Love Shouldn't Hurt But it can From fists of fury, or from words that can cut deeper than any brute force could... Yet should we not expect a certain amount of pain surrounding something that is so fragile? There is so much in life to gain when we get this thing called love right. And oh so much to lose when we get it wrong. And I'll be first to admit that sometimes, it's hard to tell whether it's a dirge or a love song. Emotions being as they are, sometimes, despite ourselves, we end up saying the exact opposite of what we really mean. Some of our actions become detrimental to the relationship, in fact we tend to be self sabotaging to a certain degree. Yet acknowledging all of our emotional flaws, certain actions cannot be denied. And we cannot ignore them, simply because to do could likely amount to our death, a physical or emotional demise. Using a fist to communicate is never acceptable. And if words do more to crush than to comfort it would be wise, to determine if it is love, or indeed some form of hate that is controlling your mate, and ultimately your fate. Love shouldn't hurt, but it can... And if it does often enough is it really love?
