Love Poem #1

“Better to had loved and lost…Than not love at all.”

Love--
When it dissipates into stiff winds--
Landing perfectly under somber palm trees--
Amongst the obliging grass--

It brings tears--
To the strongest--
And hurt--
To the toughest--
And surprise--
To the unpredictable--

Unable to carry the weight of problems it brings--
Lost love lingers--
Long and lashing--
Similar to skinny snapping crackling--
Whips--
Lashing out--
'Cuz you tired of his *****

Yet in still feelings remain--
With love you are tainted--
And stained--
Painted with pain--
And insanely restrained
All with the thoughts--
You hate to contain--
It adds stress to your brain--
Yet you choose to refrain--
For emotional gain--
When emotions are strained--
In this sorrowful game--

Love--
Disappearing away from you calmly--
Cluttering your brainwaves--
With sweet misery--
With jazz songs and sweet kisses--
Memories of love--
Far gone.
