You loved me
Like no other love I'd felt before.
But it wasn't real
You'd went back into time
and replayed your visions of love
You played them over and over again
until you had love memorized.
And then you repeated them to me.
You repeated your visions of love to me.
Except they weren't meant for me.
They were meant for your past love.
The love that treated you like crap love.
The love you still want to be your now love.
The love that has always been your only love.
I don't hate you.
Truth be told, you did love me.
The best you knew how, considering.
Considering that you tried to detatch
the faces engraved in your visions of love.
One in particular, you tried to replace with mine.
I don't hate you.
Truth be told, you tried to love me.
The best you knew how considering.
Considering your very own idea of love.
The idea of love that you had
Memorized.
