I lost my word, sometime ago
They fell from my lips
And was carried along with the winds blow

I searched and I pondered
Looking high and looking low
I couldn’t for the life of me
Figure where my words could go

I thought I lost them
Way back when
My joy was stolen
And my heart was broken

I searched amongst my many tears
I peeked behind the dark and lonely
Thinking maybe my word wasn’t lost but stolen
By someone I thought to be my one and only

To love and have lost
Something more than a mere man
My words, my mind, my peace
Blown away like grains of sand

The capacity to speak of eloquent things
The ability to think any thought out loud
The joy of laying pen to paper
And painting a picture that made even my momma proud

One day while mourning my loss of word
They came back to me
Strong like a musical chord
What was lost is now found
What was; can once more be
For a while I was busy looking for my lost forgotten words
Then one day
I looked up and found that my words had
Found me
