    Lost in translation

    Ridding the train
    Of sadness
    Hoping that tomorrows
    Bring brighter days

    Often left amazed
    How events
    Play on worldly
    Stages

    Seeing how disillusioned
    Dreams muster
    On every day
    Existing themes

    A play on emotions
    Where heaven and hell
    Constitute turn outs
    Of salvation

    War, bringing devastations
    Of futile respirations
    Breathing heavy
    Tears in eyes

    What happened to days
    Where childhood joy
    Brought smiles
    To parents

    Thinking heavily
    How Christians and Muslims
    Fight
    For a way of life

    Passing on love
    Leaves hearts
    Empty, sad, often wondering
Only to come to depressed thoughts

    Drained by daily stress
    Brings thought of suicide
    Which dismantles
    Our every day existence

    Gemutlich schlaffen wir
    Aber morgen wirt es wieder
    Ein anderen tag
    Wo hunde hir besissers beissen

    Translation

    We sleep comfortably
    Yet tomorrow is another day
    Where dogs bite
    There masters

    Revolutions plague
    Governmental schemes
    Hierarchy fills their hearts
    Full of malice

    How we move
    From good to evil
    Preaching his teaching
    Yet still lost

    We poets
    Been handed the truth
    Yet some of us
    Still spit blindly

    Desecrating this art
    I will not allow
    My thoughts
    How dare they

    Tic Toc, Tic Toc
    The hands of time lost
    Feed the mental
    Ignorance condemns us

    Still waiting
    For that train
    That brings happiness
    To our lost souls

    Will it ever come?
    Waiting to board
    Ticket in hand
    Maybe tomorrow

Knowing there's tomorrow fosters hope, although the horrors of yesterday make it difficult to see. You laid it out there poet.
