This is a direct result of being sad&creative at 4am.there is a point in this somewhere...

    Looking for a home

If home is where the heart is, then my heart def. isnt here.
This is just a space I occupy on a daily basis.
Livin alone is startin to take its toll on me...
I walk through the door thinkin if these walls could speak, what would they say about me?
Would they see a woman who is cool, calm, and collected?
Or would they see a woman happy one moment and sad the next?
This empty space has me trippin..
Its suckin the joy outta things I used to enjoy.
My heart wants this place to be a home, but not if I have to do it alone

This is so moving! At times, I've felt like that in my life too.

This piece made me think of Luther's "A House Is Not A Home."

The sadness doesn't have to occur daily, to be a heinous attack on one's soul, and you expressed that feeling quite well. I can certainly relate to this poetess. And, even in it's sadness, I appreciate reading something new from you.

I feel ya, and I enjoyed the read. I'm really feeling this, be blessed poet, and know that the one set of footprints you see, are not yours.
