    A father's love
    is a precious treasure
    a glorious gift that's
    beyond measure

    In images, gestures, and words
    this treasure can be found
if you look to his children
    his love is all around

I can view her father in the
dance and delight of her eyes
Sparkling with the hope and vision
    of an African sunrise

I can envision his father in the
depth of the words that he wrote
True devotion as deep as an ocean,
    that's what his phrases emote

When I see our children strive
carrying burdens too heavy to bear
yet managing to lift weight twice their own,
I witness the strength of their father there

A father's love leaves its mark
    in indelible ink of gold
    He leaves an eternal impression
for all the world to behold
