This is the first song I've written for my significant other that I'm willing to share...Being that he's a songwriter professionally, I wanted to pay homage to his method of providing his half of our whole.

    Opium scent incense lit
    I’m living the dream
    I’m loving me
    I’m loving me
    I’m loving me

I’m making the world a beautiful place
By what I’m choosing to do and see
    Freely, happily, lovingly

    Exploring everything that’s for me
    Whatever I don’t have
I stand bare, and open to receive

    Opium scent incense lit
    Peace of mind
    My thoughts reflect me
    I’m living the dream
    I’m loving me

    From you I want nothing
Need nothing more than what you have
And although I pictured this quite differently before

The same love is in store
The same love is in store
    Since I’m loving me more

I made a fool of myself too many times
    And it’s not that I don’t care
I’m just no good to me
And less good to you when I’m there

    Opium scent incense lit
    T-R-A-N-Q-U-I-L-I-T-Y
    My thoughts become me
    I’m living the dream
    I’m loving me

    More than religious Sundays
    And spiritual one days
Meet me and make love on random Tuesdays
    Those navy blues days disappear

    My thoughts are me
    And I’m living the dream
    I’m loving you because
    I’m loving me
    I love you because
    I’m able to love me
I’m finally able to love me…

This flow seemed very freeing, like you were opening your arms to yourself, as well as your other half. Enjoyed, poet.

This is really nice. I especially liked

    "Exploring everything that’s for me
    Whatever I don’t have
I stand bare, and open to receive"

    Very nice indeed!
