    Living life in fear
Not a friend to cry out to
    Nobody even knows
All the pain that she goes through

    Always staying after school
Scared to go back home at night
    Afraid of what might happen
Once she turned out the light

A tear runs down her check
As she lays in bed at night
    He’s tearing down her pride
Her spirits putting up a fight

    The purity of her body
    Broken by her foster dad
    Her heart constantly longing
For the mom she never had

    Bruises black and blue
    Hidden under clothes she wears
    When asked about her face
She said that she fell down the stairs

    Living life in fear
Not a friend to cry out to
    Nobody even knows
All the pain she’s going through

    Broken glass and shattered hope
The screams her neighbors had to hear
They just closed their windows and shut their doors
    They “didn’t want to interfere”

Every night before she went to sleep
She would drop down to her knees
She was asking God for a better day
    And praying “Jesus Please…”

“Take this pain away from me
This house is not a home
My heart is bleeding from the pain
    And I’m feeling all alone.”

One night it just got out of hand
The last night she’d ever shed a tear
She was bleeding in and externally
So God took her away from here

    “November 8 1995-June 6, 2003”
Now all her pain and suffering has ceased
    She’s rejoicing with the angels
May her soul Rest In Peace

She lived her life in fear
She had no friends to cry out to
    Nobody even knew
All the pain that she went through

deeply touched from this sad mental tale spin
the fear a child have to live in from home where
they should be feeling safe and loved may her soul rest now
    in the comfort ..

    peace,

****...........to get me emotional is a very hard thing to do & right now I'm pissed off & don't even know if it's true or not! I suspect it is true on one level or another, for I feel your energy and even the pain u felt in putting this powerful piece to writing. I know I couldn't write something like this without shedding tears.........

peace to u Lynne' - "if the creator says it's time, then it's alright"

My heart felt your's the night she died
we both fell to our knees ...and cried
now it's no more suffering, from within...
and no more bruises on her skin
let her rest, her poor little soul
she was as presious, as untarnished gold
my heart is heavy for you, thanks for sharing your pain.

I had to close my eyes after i read this, it was such a painful read. But, this type of thing does go on. If this in anyway is real for you, I am so, so sorry. A child's home should be a safe haven, but for this little one, it was a torture chamber. Your words struck me like daggers. Well written piece.

Whoa whoa whoa....this is not my story!!!

What I do is I take things that do happen in real life and put them into poetic form...while this poem unfortunately holds some form of truth in many different peoples live, it's not mines...but thank you all for your concern.
Just like with the poem "Chill", not exactly my story, but it probably belongs to someone. A lot of someones, as does this.
