Oh, Destee this is such a terrible way to live and die

It does seem like a terrible way to die, but does not seem so bad to live that way. The thing is, since we do not know where death is, if we are living this way, chances are great we may die this way ... ... that part is kinda scary for sure. It is the fun and adventure of it though, that draws me in, not the dying part. Thanks for sharing Sister!

It’s an obnoxious fad. While some started around COVID-19, some others don’t really live in a car and are just faking this lifestyle.

Kind of like Bear Grylls films himself eating bugs and pretending to sleep in the wild, but goes back to his hotel room and takes a hot shower.

I honestly think it’s bizarre to think there are truly homeless people living in cars because they have no choice but people are glorifying it as a comfortable lifestyle.

Now, I’ll watch RV or boat living, but those who choose to live in a car for the sake of views, no.

Would I live in a car/van? If I had no other option. I certainly wouldn’t film it either.

You know Sister, I have thought of this too, that some people are not actually living in their vehicles but doing as you describe ... getting on cam, looking like they are living this life, when they are not. It seems many that have (or had) youtube channels living this life, get lots of donations because people feel sorry for them for being "homeless" when it may not be real at all. I'd imagine some are real though. I don't know. I have been seeing quite a few videos of late, where people are beginning to complain about the online begging, which is what some of this has turned into, sort of dry begging ... iono ... hard to say, to speak on another's plight. It is not as though this is my only option, but I'd want to be youtube rich and famous too ... .... oh gosh ... you have me rethinking this! lol @ you posting to my vanlife video saying "Destee, if you don't get off that cam, get out that vehicle, and go in the house right now, talk'n 'bout you homeless!" ... ... Yes. The internet begging is at an all time high. It’s like digital pan handling.
There is one black woman I follow from time to time on YouTube, I can’t think of her channel off top, but she wasn’t homeless. She got sick of her high rise apartment costs then moved into a storage unit. From there she moved out and lived in a small camper and her car. She would shower at the YMCA or Planet Fitness. Her fiancé had their own place and she tried living there but preferred living in her car. She had some interesting experiences (and opinions).
I’d would rather live in a tiny home versus a can or car.

Yes, I'd imagine some do it because they like the lifestyle, but I'm like you, I'd rather live in a tiny house vs a car, if I had a choice. It seems some people don't have that choice though.
