Livin' large and lavish Ain't all it's puffed up to be Let me steal a few minutes of your time And I'll share a portion of my life story. Born into this world as I am With a silver spoon in my mouth My life wasn't considered normal by some For a Black girl livin' in the South. My Moms and Pops Kept my needs met And there's nothing I've wanted That I haven't gotten yet. Some have said I'm spoiled Others call it blessed I actually think it's both of them However, it carries alot of stress. My life has not been easy And that's one thing for sure Material "stuff" don't mean a thing Compared to the heartaches I have endured. All my life I'd had to be careful To keep my head up and watch my back For there was always somebody lurking Trying to bust me for my "stack". I've never claimed to be a balla But others choose to think so I'm just livin' large and lavish 'Cause that's the only life I know.
