Today I lived a blues song
heard B.B. and Lucille dancing in the
    background of my blakground

    Good ole' Lucille's voice laid
down for my thoughts and a track was made
    and I sang

"She made love in an oven
but not with me, it smelled
**** good when it was done
but she still left me wanting her
    and hungry"

    Good ole Lucille's voice
had me thinking of her and we
and why and how and she and I
presented past memories of fractured fantasies
that lie dead in the tears that I cry

"She was an African Queen with the
skin of Brown Sugar baby and I got high off
her love and she ended up driving me crazy"

    Good ole Lucilles voice
dancing in and out of this reality
got me dancing in and out of a
dried up and painful love fallacy

    and who lied to me?

My heart was the king of deception
I learned today, told me things the rest of
    me objected to

    and I stop dancing
    standing...............
    under the rain of
    influence of a broken love
    that has me

    Livin' the blues today.......

    and I wait for the
    dayto change shades......

    Yup...

    Yup, yup...
    I am agreeing
    100% with Ms. A.
    I love this...
    It is just pure
    poetry...
    And, like I always
    say, "there's just
    something about
    a blak man's poetry."
