Their tears fall and their little hearts cry silently
Hoping that somewhere, someone might hear them
But their cries fall on a deaf world
    Nobody hears them, no-one cares
It isn't right, it's just not fair

These are the souls battered and torn
Misused and ignored and often forgotten
A prison of pain is where they live
They suffer daily at the hands of fate
Can't something be done before it's too late

There is a child who is starving
In a barren and empty world of poverty
With not enough food to keep his body alive
A child who is simply born to die
    Has anyone ever asked why

There are also the children abused every day
By an unrelentant keeper who deals in fear
There is no escape, nowhere to go
They suffer silently, too frightened to tell
Surrounded by a pain they know only too well

Also are the homeless who live on the street
Their bed is not comfortable or clean
On a scavenger hunt they find their food
Their bodies are their trading cards
It's too easy to say life's hard

Last are the children, born but not wanted
A human mistake discarded like trash
Left on a doorstep or shunted around
Thrust into a world which holds no hope
They are left alone to survive and cope

But tears shouldn't fall and little hearts shouldn't cry
Little children should be happy all the time
Their world should be full of sunshine and laughter
And we should listen to our children every day
We have to show them we love them in every little way

    volumes...

    of TRUTH being spit here

    thanks for exploring
    this category
    which many have been ignoring
the fate of the little ones
    born to die
    living to die
    to young to cry
    tears of abuse
    and misuse
in a game they can't afford
    to lose

    WHY?

    you ask
    as one after another
    my li'l sistah and brutha
    pass on to another life
    one
    without rejection and strife

    we pass by the homeless
    everyday
    walk by the hungry
    with nothing to say
    step on the weak
    disillusioned
    and lame

    and never ask their names.

    is that you?

    hmmm.

pd...thank you for the sentiment..this is close to my heart...I want to have arms wide enough to hold all the children in the world...sometimes it just gets to me....

epip..no it just isn't fair...all little children need are the basic necessities in life and lots of love..not too much to ask for but it seems they are some of the hardest things in the world to attain for many little ones...

baller...it is many of us, I think because we don't believe that the little bit we can do will make a difference...but it will, because all the little bits add up to a big bit, and it does make a difference in someones life...a smile makes a difference..a hand to hold makes a difference..a blanket or a simple meal makes a difference..

    Lady K.....

    felt this so deep inside
    our children need not
weep in da land of free

    truth is spoken here
    our future cries
    hoping one ear might hear
    and yet no answers

    sad to know our children
    living in proverity and misused
abused stuff .....but i lift my head
up in Prayer for the little one's

gurl u vibe the truth let it be known!:(
