Like sands through the hour glass
So too does time pass slowly
Yet we never have the time to stop
And see what the Almighty has given us
I see some how in all
    The world's distractions
That there is so much to explore
So much undiscovered love to live for

Like sands through the hour glass
    We waste away
    Thinking that in time
All we desire will come our way
    Without us going out
To search for our purpose and meaning

Like sands through the hour glass
    We are in this together
    Like birds of a feather
We have no choice but to become as
    One
WE live in a world built on divides
    Not knowing that until
    Divides are broken
    We will not survive

So I ask you my brotha if
You can truly see the light
Then why do feel it neceesary
    To take this man's life

Like sands through the hour glass
    Time will run out
And when it does like the hour glass
    A change will come about
    The glass will be turned
    Just like life
And you my brotha' may end up
On the wrong side of a fight
    And then somenone else
    Will feel validated
    In taking your life

And the cycle will continue has the tables are turned
Like sands through the hour glass

This is for that brother who believes that he wants to start a chain of violence. It's not worth it to have the sands turned and you end up on the other side of the situation.

Before you act PLEASE THINK!!! about what the foolish decision you make will do to you in the big picture.
    Love life
    Live freely
    Free your mind to learn
    Learn before its too late

Sometimes it takes a while for those tables to turn but when they do, you do have to pay for what you've done. You had a unique way of posing this which I enjoyed.

    Thank you Queen,MBA,Alize,Watz and Rich!!!!

I try to stay fresh in my approach to topics of dicussion that come about in our everyday lives. This one was one that I noticed was becoming a problem in my school too many of my friends were losing their lives due to lack of thought on someone else's part. I decided to do my part by speaking out the best way I could, through my poetry. Feel free to drop topics my way anytime you want, I'm always looking for new inspiration.
