Like a slap in the face
    I see my name has
    been erased
    someone else has come
    to take my place...
like a slap in the face!

My printed word , my dirge
my pledge that I was here
the feeling of you so near
    I shed a forbidden tear
    All over the place...
Like a slap in the face

    Heat rises from my collar
    to my ears...
Would I feel any worse if
    I had dedicated years???
    Crafting and scribing and
    vibing with clarity
    showing something real
    when realness is a rarity.
Like a slap in the face...

    Down towards discouragement
    up towards abandonment
to give up or keep moving
when there are no words that
    are soothing...
Like a slap in the face...

How we do what we do and cause
pain to each other. When all the
time we are proclaiming "You my
    sista, I am your brother".
Put you in your place , response
    to be erased...
Like a slap in the face...

    Songs silenced , scribes unrobed
and told to go...if they want to
    when truly they don't...some will
    and some won't!
I see sadness on your face at being
    erased, "It's a **** disgrace...
Like a slap in the face!"

Just scribing what I am vibin!

Just scribin what I am vibin in da room Sis, can't shake this chill
can't sweat it either...I continue to do what I do ...For the joy
that it brings me! Nothing new to me...but I know that everything
I write is not crap!!!!!!!!:maddd: On the real, I ain't mad at nobody, cause we all have free will! Just putting out there cause
that's what I am feeling. "NOT WELL RECEIVED"! It can become disheartening, but at the same time, it can strengthen your resolve to work more dilligently, and with a different sense
of purpose. Some of the most critically acclaimed artist in the world lived lives of obscurity! It didn't keep their work from being
great, just means far few people really got to appreciate the art!
You feel me? So I play on the swings alone...I can still have fun
    in Destee's Playground.:D
    BLESSINGS ON YA HOUSE!
ps. I need a lesson on that Spoken Word, Madrapper and Soja
    was telling me about!
