Life - Journey - Integrate
Life is but a journey
That everyone must take
This role is universal
No matter what your race…
I often times think about this and wonder, why is there so much hate. Aren’t we all here for basically the same purpose.. to grow and thrive and learn.. Do we not all have a heart? Do we not all have the same blood running through our veins? Do we not all have the same ending, when our heart stops its’ beat? Why then, does the color of our skin make us so different? It shouldn’t. Did we not all come from one creator? I don’t remember reading, anywhere, that there is a different God for every race – I believe it has been said and taught that God is the God for All!
It is true that there are different paths along this journey – some may be rougher than others, yet, do we not seek after the same goals? Love.. peace.. serenity.. happiness.. family.. a home to live in.. a car to drive.. food to sustain us.. do these things at all sound familiar? Do they differ from race to race? I don’t believe they differ, I believe we all seek these same things.. so why then does one race feel they have superiority over the other just because of the color of their skin.. do you not see so many of those same individuals filling up the tanning booths to get variation to their tones.. for the light to get dark.. they see the beauty of our color, but they fail to see the beauty of our soul..
Its time to…
Look beyond my outer layer
Look into my inner core
See the similarities
Within each individuality
Take to heart what God’s created
His plan was perfect, don’t you know
Look around and tell me
Is it just “one” color that you see
Each shade and variation
Each color light and dark
There is beauty in this integration
With separation – each are dull if kept apart
For us
Its time to come together
To fully integrate
To see the beauty of every shade
Let’s become “the” human race
