We come in this world as simple little boys and little girls.
But as we mature into adults many things have and will occur.
Childhood is beautiful, the mind is free.
Living in a world of mostly fantasy.
Sometimes tears, but always manage a smile.
Innocence at its best, with love living large riding in style.
A child that's a beautiful picture,now here's another picture the adult world.
Where some of us neither accomplish or master peace of mind.
We go through life sweating every little thing, wasting precious time.
We often show the evil side burying the good.
With a lot of hatred backstabbing each other, destroying liveihoods.
We change friends like dirty underwear.
Doing a lot of pretending but, inside really don't care.
Passing out pain, like candy on a Halloween night.
Quick to judge, bad temper, any little thing welcoming a fight.
Holding grudges for some petty reason or another.
Deliberately hurting someone's feelings, even your father or mother.
Drugs taking your life.
Abusing yourself,husbands and wives.
What we do to each other words can't begin to say.
We need to show some love everyday in some way.
Life is definitely too short not to release the goodness in our heart.
(DESTEE)has managed to bottled your beautiful and creative minds.
Buliding a foundation around all of you, preserving the words from dying.
This Forum shows a lot of (LOVE and RESPECT) enjoy and protect your (HOME).

Welcome to Destee L.P

This is a good read. I like what you have said here. Keep flowing.

" What we do to each other words can't begin to say.
We need to show some love everyday in some way. "

This made me reflect on the poem written by a black famous poet Paul Lawrence Dunbar. He wrote it in Lyrics of Lowly Life, in 1896

" We wear the Mask "

" WE wear the mask that grins and lies, It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,...We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries "

All of his poems are great reading. He is my influence into poetry. My sister would read his poetry to me, and my 3 brothers and 4 other sisters. I was about 3 when I first learned of poetry.
