Can I embrace your inhale
With the slightest touch of
A buttercup under your chin
Illuminating your divine smile?

Can I consume your vision with
Dreams of joy wrapped in layers
Of peace smothered in thick rich
Folds of deep dark compassion?

Will you allow me the chance to
Wrap your heart in layers of silk
And lace and place it in a chest
Built from the desires held within?

Will you return to me the rib taken
Whence I was sleep to be molded
into the virtuous epitome of one who
fits snugly inside the new found home?

And can we complete each others
Walk as we hold hands while you
inhale the love that I exhale when I
release a sigh of peace being with you?
