Letter from King Leopold II of Belgium to Colonial Missionaries, 1883
The letter which follows is Courtesy of Dr. Vera Nobles and Dr. Chiedozie Okoro.

“Reverends, Fathers and Dear Compatriots: The task that is given to fulfill is very delicate and requires much tact. You will go certainly to evangelize, but your evangelization must inspire above all Belgium interests. Your principal objective in our mission in the Congo is never to teach the nig-gers to know God, this they know already. They speak and submit to a Mungu, one Nzambi, one Nzakomba, and what else I don’t know. They know that to kill, to sleep with someone else’s wife, to lie and to insult is bad. Have courage to admit it; you are not going to teach them what they know already. Your essential role is to facilitate the task of administrators and industrials, which means you will go to interpret the gospel in the way it will be the best to protect your interests in that part of the world. For these things, you have to keep watch on disinteresting our savages from the richness that is plenty [in their underground. To avoid that, they get interested in it, and make you murderous] competition and dream one day to overthrow you.

Your knowledge of the gospel will allow you to find texts ordering, and encouraging your followers to love poverty, like “Happier are the poor because they will inherit the heaven” and, “It’s very difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of God.” You have to detach from them and make them disrespect everything which gives courage to affront us. I make reference to their Mystic System and their war fetish-warfare protection-which they pretend not to want to abandon, and you must do everything in your power to make it disappear.

Your action will be directed essentially to the younger ones, for they won’t revolt when the recommendation of the priest is contradictory to their parent’s teachings. The children have to learn to obey what the missionary recommends, who is the father of their soul. You must singularly insist on their total submission and obedience, avoid developing the spirit in the schools, teach students to read and not to reason. There, dear patriots, are some of the principles that you must apply. You will find many other books, which will be given to you at the end of this conference. Evangelize the nig-gers so that they stay forever in submission to the white colonialists, so they never revolt against the restraints they are undergoing. Recite every day-“Happy are those who are weeping because the kingdom of God is for them.”

Convert always the blacks by using the whip. Keep their women in nine months of submission to work freely for us. Force them to pay you in sign of recognition-goats, chicken or eggs-every time you visit their villages. And make sure that nig-gers never become rich. Sing every day that it’s impossible for the rich to enter heaven. Make them pay tax each week at Sunday mass. Use the money supposed for the poor, to build flourishing business centres. Institute a confessional system, which allows you to be good detectives denouncing any black that has a different consciousness contrary to that of the decision-maker. Teach the nig-gers to forget their heroes and to adore only ours. Never present a chair to a black that comes to visit you. Don’t give him more than one cigarette. Never invite him for dinner even if he gives you a chicken every time you arrive at his house.

“The above speech which shows the real intention of the Christian missionary journey in Africa was exposed to the world by Mr. Moukouani Muikwani Bukoko, born in the Congo in 1915, and who in 1935 while working in the Congo, bought a second hand Bible from a Belgian priest who forgot the speech in the Bible. — Dr. Chiedozie Okoro

Here's the rest of that Paper I copied that letter in the opening post from:

    We should note:
1] that all missionaries carried out, and still carry out, that mandate. We are only lucky to have found King Leopold’s articulation of the aim of all Christian imperialist missionaries to Africa.

2] Even the African converts who today manage the older churches in Africa (the priests, bishops, Archbishops, Cardinals etc of the Roman and Protestant sects), and especially also those who evangelize Born-Again Christianity, still serve the same mandate. Which is why they demonize African gods and Anglicize African names, and drop the names of African deities which form part of African names; and still attack and demolish the African shrines that have managed to survive, e.g. Okija.

3] Those Africans who voluntarily converted to Christianity before the colonial conquest such as Affonso I of the BaKongo in the 15th century probably did not discern the purpose of the brand of Christianity that was supplied to them. Which was probably why they fell easy prey to the missionaries and the white traders and pirates who followed them.

But their Japanese counterparts probably did discern the game, even without access to some version of Leopold’s letter. But even if the Japanese Shoguns did not intuit what Leopold makes explicit, they clearly realized the danger of Japanese converts to Christianity forming a fifth column within Japanese society and state, a fifth column loyal to their co-religionists in Europe. To rid Japan of that danger, in the late 16th century, the Shoguns began their expulsion of Portuguese and Spanish missionaries on the grounds that they were forcing Japanese to become Christian, teaching their disciples to wreck temples, taking and trading slaves, etc. Then, in 1596, it became clear to the Japanese authorities that Christianization had been a prelude to Spanish conquest of other lands; and it quickly dawned on them that a fifth column loyal to Rome and controlled by the priests of a foreign religion was a clear and present danger to the sovereignty of a newly unified Japan. Soon after, the persecution and suppression of Japanese Christians began. Early in the 17th century, sensing the danger from a creed that taught obedience to foreign priests rather than the Japanese authorities, all missionaries were ordered to leave and all Japanese were ordered to register at the Buddhist temples. When Japanese Christians took part in a rebellion, foreign priests were executed, the Spanish were expelled and Japanese Christians were forbidden to travel abroad. After another rebellion, largely by Christians, was put down, the Japanese Christians were suppressed and their descendants were put under close state surveillance for centuries thereafter. In the 1640s all Japanese suspected of being Christians were ruthlessly exterminated. Thus did Japan, by 1650, save itself from the first European attempt to mentally subvert, conquer and colonize it.

4] The African captives who were taken abroad and enslaved, and the Africans at home after the European conquest, having already been forcibly deprived of their autonomy, were in no political position to resist Christianization. Thus the Christianity still practised in all of the African American diaspora, just as that in the African homeland since the start of the 20th century, continues to carry out the Leopoldian mandate.
Hence, for example, whereas the White Born-Agains of the USA, when in the US Navy ships in WWII, sang:

    “Praise the Lord,
And pass the ammunition,” the attitude of African Born-Again converts today is best summed up as :
    “Praise the Lord,
And lie down for the manna.”

Thanks to a century or more of this Leopold-mandated missionary mind control, African Christians are not an activist, self-helping, economically engaged, politically resolute, let alone militant bunch. Hence their putting up with all manner of mistreatment and exploitation by their misrulers, white and black. The most they are disposed to do to their misrulers is to admonish them to “Fear God!”—as one protester’s miserable placard read in last week’s Lagos demonstration against the latest of the murderous fuel price hikes by the OBJ Misgovernment. The idea of an uprising to tame their misrulers is alien to the religiously opiated frame of mind of the Nigerians.

5] The lesson in the contrast between an Africa that the Christian missionaries brainwashed and subverted, and a Japan where this brainwashing and subversion was forcibly prevented, is stark and clear. What then must Africans of today begin to do to save themselves from brainwashing by their White World enemies here on earth?—That is the question.

Thank you for this. How many "Christians" will read this? I wonder. These savages came handed our brothers and sisters a bible, told them to close their eyes to pray and while our brothers and sisters prayed the white men preyed and proceeded to steal their land and ravage their women! smh

Well, I'm a Christian and I read it, and can see that in 1883 after they completely Separated from Christianity this letter when out and so many Black people are not reading the Bible for themselves but they are allowing the White people to interpret the Bible to suit their purpose, of which was brought out in the first paragraph of this White man's letter and this is totally being ignored. So that means that many black Christians are believing a lie but so are many people who do not believe in the true contents of the Bible. this is the greatest tragedy.

And now today, so many positive Black people are carrying on the works of Benjamin Franklin, thomas Jefferson in their rhetoric against 'religion' and the Bible after they used it to set up, and nevertheless they die with the evil White Supremacist and we are still thinking that 'we will have heaven on earth' by fighting against a system that has caused us to be suppressed down by other Blacks who would not dare give up their freedom that the White Man has given them. So all we do is attack each other...and get nowhere...

But thankfully, the Bible has offered a deadline...so no matter, for those that believe that this evil system will be overthrown by a higher power that has defeated death by the promise of resurrection...it's only a matter of time now...

Very nice find. It's something that, that brutal "King" had been so overt in his hatred for Africans! At least this is a primary source relating whether any missionaries had any semblance of goodwill.

    Hotep!

So have you ever read any version outside of the king james bible? Much of the apocrypha disagrees with it and the points made by Leopold which are in the king james version? That were put their to suit his purpose, so it really doesn't matter if black christians read it or not you're all receiving the same message everytime you go to church or decide to read it on ur own.

Yes, I've read other versions [some passages] enough to know that no one denies that Jesus was written and defined as being 'Black Hamitic-type' [Abra-Hamitic] and only White Supemacist have put out false images to decieve Black Africans into thinking otherwise since they wont' read the Bible for themselves, therefore for anyone to knock against a Black African-typed power house historical man who kicked against the White supremacist Roman Empire is simply doing the very work of White Supremacist and furthering their cause and are no different that the Black Christians who are accepting what they hear without reading it for themselves.

Now Jesus stood at the cross with Black Hamitic-typed women, made blatant comments and actions to show that he was not for the trickeries of White women, and here we have Black African women today agreeing with racist White men who raped Black women, and speak out against the Bible, and separated from it in hopes that Black Christians would not read the Bible and read about other positive Blacks as well other than Hebrews. It just doesn't make since Each1teach1.

Both Black Christians, at least probably 90 percent of them, and other Black activist are doing exactly what White pagans want you to do. What do you think about dr. Barashango? Like you, he was a serious follower of Dr. Williams and Dr. Clark, but he had the guts to turn around and connect to the very work of Jesus Christ and he made some powerful speeches about how Jesus fought against racism and how the White people have deceived us. To reject Jesus and embrace Dr. Clark who came thousands of years after, is like accepting Dr. Clark and then, hundreds of years later when White people caste him in images as being White and alter script, another Black man comes up and speaks out and is accepted and people are made to believe it's 'okay' to ignore the works of Dr. Clark.-- this kind of rejection of Black history from ancient times will cause history to repeat for those who ignore it. History is connected. There had to have been some Black power long ago that was not tricked into a civilization that pushed intteracial bonds with White Supremacist systems. It did not just happen today. White Supremacist have had this kind of interest in which they have spent all thier time focusing upon erasing Black power struggles of the past and gearing us towards what they want us to believe--confusion. They are anti-christ, they hated Jesus that's why they separated from him when they achieved their world power ranking. This is what is in the Bible.

To reject the script about Jesus is like hundreds of years from now seeing that Malcolm X is painted as being White, European-typed and hearing that he had a fetish for White women, without reading about his works in script and making that determination for yourself and seeing the script in comparison and contrast to what you hear.

If the Bible is saying that Jesus was for the freedom of Hamitic-type people [which it does] and against the kind of Black civilizations that elevate Ashteroth, White women, [which it does] then by you not reading this for yourself you could in affect to be used to further the program of White Supremacist because Jesus speaks about destroying this White Supremacist world system and therefore puts a deadline on it. But many positive Black activist don't and therefore they draw many strange people who attach to these kind of movements like someone in this community right now, and they spend all their time trying to lure African American men who uphold White women as being apart of the Black African struggle, and these strange kind of men work diligently to divide between the Black African man and women in order to further their agenda of White Supremacy, cause confusion, all the while completely speaking against major terms that define ancient Kemet presence. They have an inborn hatred and disrespect for the presence of Black African women and because many Black activist don't highlight the works of Jesus and other strategic ancient Black civilizations that specifically built up on having Black queens, they will always draw attention from racist people who spend all of their time trying to strike down the written works of Jesus, Kemet, Ham, or any other words and names that did support the Black African presence.

So, if you are thinking that the apocrypha disagrees with the points made by Leopold and that he got from the King James Version, what you are doing is believing in what Leopold 'took out of context' to suit his purpose, and that is what was brought out int he first paragraph!--He took passages out of context!--to suit his purpose. I dont think you are hearing and seeing the reality of what was presented. Listen, it sounds bad that for thousands of years, Black African people have been exploited while white supremacist have been able to live lavishly at our expense, they have gotten their heaven!!!--and yet, we die with all o fthis great Black Power history to no avail!? The White supremacist have destroyed this earth and all you want is second hand crap!? Why would anyone want to end with them? They had their chance, now it's about to be our chance, that's is worthy of fighting for...not to just speak about BlackPower and then die and end with the White Supremacist world that used our ancestors to build it up. What kind of hope is that!? I want new land, land that the white racist can't control. Okay, just think about what the ancient Black man has promised to the world if they fight against White Supremacy! He doesn't offer us second hand land! It's not going to take any thing away from the Black Power Movement to include any other good history that supports the movement. Why kick against it. If the Apocrypha is that credible that I missed something, please share.
