They say "No news is good news"...I've posted negative news, and I know many others on here talk about bad news also.

But lets talk about something out of the norm...something positive...It's easy to talk about negative things that can be so easy to split us, but it's even harder to talk about something positive...

When I'm working with kids, especially those who are in the juvenile system, I try and get them to say something positive about their selves...because they are taught, structured, to think negatively...We as adults can be set in our ways to do the same and by then it's even harder to break.

Say something positive...We're black and we are surviving in this world...Let's collectively talk about the greatness in our lives an fill this thread up!

It can be something that happened today or something that you are grateful for...

    Let's readjust our thought process...

    ANYTHING POSITIVE!!!

ATTENTION: This is NOT a thread for negative talk, arguments, or drama...

    I'll start

    Our future is ours!

I believe we may have our disagreements, but what bonds us is our past.

Our kids are brighter than you think and they have talents beyond those of any others...

We have a past that extends beyond those of any others....

    I would think...but still thinking...lol

Okay...I am grateful for all of the positive influences in my life, especially my Elder relatives who gave me a good foundation from which to raise my daughter and to serve as a positive role model for my students.

I am also grateful for every day that God has given me on this earth which I must view as a blessing because I just 3 years ago I did not think I would make it this far.

I am also fortunate to now be a director at a Black owned, non profit learning center which is a job that I LOVE because it gives me inspiration each day I work as my students are a great group of kids.
