    Let's consider, a kaleidoscope...
    a patchwork of varying hues
Some colors appear as good as gold
while others have us crying the blues
    Life can be like this
    creating a blend of emotions
    coloring feelings, varying beliefs, and
    at times, conflicting devotions
    Feelings aren't always concrete, they
    can be mixed in reality
when trying to expand the mind
    beyond a mirage or fallacy
    This conflict of feelings means
we are being true to what's inside
    Not giving into selfishness, anger
    or even, pride
But being real and looking at all
    aspects of a situation
    being open to discussion
    and being open to negation
    A closed mind doesn't want
to consider another's point of view
You don't have to agree, but at least
    consider it, won't you?
Yes, the other view may not be pretty,
it may be "butt ugly" as they say,
But to ignore the other possibilities
doesn't make the pictures go away
It just dims the light on the other
viewpoints making them easier to ignore
It's not easy to delve into the unknown,
but at least be willing to explore
another's mind to see where they
are coming from, and then decide.
We may all discover that the span that
lies between our bridges aren't that wide
And if after we look at what colors each other's
    thoughts, we still disagree
Perhaps we can do so, peacefully
    and respectfully
    taking one more step
    toward unity
At least when I consider another's
opinion, that's how it appears to me...

Your's is a very open mind. I applaud you, Watz.

"Ignore" is a variant of ignorance.
