Sister Destee sent a beautiful message a few days ago about staying encouraged, despite the challenges we face. I don't disagree and love her for her wisdom and insight and deep compassion for her people.

At the same time, let's be real clear about the kind of people that are out there who also feel encouraged by the new president-elect and who hate us.

It's important to remain clear about what this recent election has exposed to us in broad daylight.

We talk a lot here about being united as a people. What better time to do that than now? Pay close attention:

Thank you Sister Queenie and i absolutely agree.

While i did post the thread hoping to keep us encouraged, i do not mean for it to have us relaxed regarding the hatred that is being shown to us now, and honestly, that which has always been shown to us as a people (in this country).

The fact that the racism is constant, ongoing, unyielding, should keep us vigilant.

I am disappointed to see the racism so blatant but it can never be as ugly as it was for our Ancestors.

This new president and all those who mimic his racist sentiment, have nothing on their predecessors.

I guess my point is, i see no real difference now, than how it has always been.

Prior to this newly elected president, black men were being killed in the street - with a black president.

Nothing has stopped them from acting out in this atrocious manner.

All of my Son's life, i warned him to be careful for his life, a warning that has never changed.

I see no real difference ... not yet at least.

What more can they do to us, that they have not already done?

We must continue to do our best, to make it better for those coming behind, and this is no different now either.

I was doing all I could before this new president and i will continue to do all i can after.

It has nothing to do with him.

But I do understand what you're saying Queenie and agree.

History has repeatedly shown us what they think of us and how they will treat us.

It might be good that those unaware get to see what is really in their hearts.

We may have been a bit comfortable, relaxed, with Obama ... and now, not so much.

I'm of the opinion that at this point, they cannot hurt us directly ... short of shooting us in the street which they have already been doing (prior to this new president) ... without also hurting lots of poor white people too. Unfortunately, I have seen them sacrifice their own, if it meant that they could get to a few of us too ... so this may not be too comforting ... but i believe it is true.

Yes Queenie ... we do need to be aware of the people that have historically killed and mistreated us.

    For sure.

    Love You!

NNQueen ... i think too ... that the visceral response to hatred ... is damaging to the responder.

Especially a historically long, brewing, traumatic, ugly hatred as racism has been to us.

It is ugly now and it has always been ugly.

I think of our Ancestors and how they were able to stay alive, keep their families moving forward, so we could be here now talking about it (them, the racism, etc).

What did our Ancestors have in them, that gave them the ability to withstand the torture and move their family forward at the same time?

I think if we focus too much on the hatred, we'll lose the blessing of the escape.

The response to the hatred is enough to kill one all by itself.

Yes, know the hate is there, but manage it properly inside of yourself.

In fact, if you can, try not to let it enter your being, so you do not have to deal with it internally.

Probably easier said than done, but do-able i think, given our Ancestor's success.

    Love You!

 At this point, I actually hate we changed our name from what you originally named us, Sister Destee, the "Origin of Racism Group" to "GroupThink Project-Group," because it seems we cannot get away from Racism, at this point ... my bag

So true, our ancestors developed a plan and were united, much like what NNQueen has called for in this Thread, but she's not the only one, I personally live for the day that we unite, and continually put myself out there as a catalyst toward our Black Unity, yup!

Another thing NNQueen ... the title says ... let's be real about hate

The hate is not in us ... it is in them.

The hate is their cup to drink from, not ours.

We have to dodge the bullets of their hate, manage associated trauma ... but the hate is theirs.

They must be a very miserable people, hating others for centuries, for no real reason.

That is what history has shown ... it is in them, not in us.

It would behoove us to put ourselves in a position where we are not subject to their hate.

Or at least minimize the impact of their hate on our selves and family where we can.

We must resist believing the things said about us. We must let the babies know it is not true.

We must give them hope and reason to know and believe in their own greatness.

Not easy to do while waist deep in the hate ... but that is our current cup to drink from.

It is waist deep for us ... but it was over our Ancestor's heads completely ... and they got us here.

We cannot let their hate ... their burden ... destroy us.

    Love You!

Maybe because I am a Black woman of a certain age, I view the KKK as a gang like the bloods and crips, who view the KKK as a rival gang.

Why do Blacks fear a 300 yr old splintered gang in in robes and hoods.
Maybe fear is not the right word.

This is 2017, I believe, I wish, we would stop referring to the KKK as being relevant to our progress. If the KKK want to start somin, I don't think it will be anything we can't handle

White Supremacist is in my focus. They wear a different uniform. Police uniform, suit and tie. Able to kill with impunity, change policies to affect Blacks negatively. These are the white supremacist I watch.

    NO FEAR

I pretty much ignore confederate flag wavers too. The racists we should be worried about are the policy makers, not the peons on the corner saying, "Sieg Heil".

Destee /QUOTE] Destee, aren't we in an extremely challenging situation as don’t their actions speak 10 times louder than words as most spectacularly highlighted by the ongoing African HOLOCAUST of over 500 years duration; STILL being totally marginalized, ignored/actually ratcheted up in the 21st century, as opposed to the formal apology and Reparations that would highlight that this so very despicably EVIL but totally undeclared/constantly waged WAR in every area of human activity, is really over?

The CHAOS MACHINE that has been/still is so very very efficiently [destroying African American communities with drugs, guns and alcohol] pillaging for over 50 years now, the Congo and other resource rich regions of Africa and the African Diaspora has now been exported to the Middle East generally, Iraq, Libya and Syria specifically, as before 9/11 weren’t all of these countries stable, on the cusp of fully industrializing; in stark contrast to the chaotically murderous carnage generating millions of desperate refugees/economic migrants, the WAR ON TERROR has reduced them to?

PEOPLE, don’t actions [like the way the PIGS treated Dylan Roof to a burger/bullet proof vest as opposed to the bullets they pump into our youth, the manner in which whites generally, policemen specifically are never even charged as opposed to jailed for very very publicly murdering African Americans, speak 10 times louder than their totally rhetorical words/alleged real interest in peace and equality, means of disarming people they intend to exterminate, as most spectacularly highlighted by the ongoing African HOLOCAUST of over 500 years duration; STILL being totally marginalized, ignored/actually ratcheted up in the 21st century, as opposed to the formal apology and Reparations that would highlight that this so very despicably EVIL but totally undeclared/constantly waged WAR in every area of human activity, is really over in the 21st century?

Isn’t ANYONE who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?

Happy New Year Sister! ...

The kkk is synonymous with white supremacy.

The kkk is (historically) synonymous with the government of this country.

It was the law makers, suits, and such that fully supported the enslaving, killing, etc., of our people.

The court system is the kkk and white supremacy too - disproportionate prison terms(?).

The kkk is the police! Historically, they were the police and little has changed.

I do agree that they are now presenting themselves ... white supremacy ... in so many different ways.

No longer is it just the sheet over their head, they too had to move along with the times.

It's everywhere ... in most all things ... so watch as well as pray ... even the green cartoon thing ... remember that?

Shoot ... white supremacy can present itself as a black person ... stealing from their own people.

White supremacy unfortunately has even some of us working on its behalf.

It is ingrained within the very core of this society and perhaps all societies world-wide.

Pointing directly at it is like pointing at the gas in the house condemned for gaseous odors.

The house is condemned for sure ... but you may never see the white supremacy.

They are good at this business ... white supremacy ... as they've had lots of time to practice it.

To answer your question ... :) ... that is why people would be afraid of them.

They have the backing of the government. They are the police. They can lock you up.

They can shoot you in the back, in the middle of the street, with cameras watching.

They have a notorious history of being the government, police, and kkk ... all in one.

The Crips and Bloods can only hurt their own selves and communities ... they cannot be judge, jury, and executioner of other races with the government's blessing ... like the kkk can.

    Love You!
