Let Go ( Let GOD )
    **************
    I'm sorry, Lord
    I fought the war
    please pull the cord
    been bought and sold
still trying hard to find a job

    All is said and done...
    when will freedom come

My lease on life expired when I lost my wife
I struggle to pay the rent with money spent
problem is I tire of my swallowed pride
the will to live escapes me now
    I want to die

    All is said and done...
    when will freedom come

    My spirit soared ~
before I lost "The Way" dear Lord
    man alive - we don't die - I'm baptized

    All is said and done...
    when will freedom come

    Forgive me, Lord
    bring on the wars
    don't pull the cord

    All is said and done...
    when will freedom come

    With God involved
salvation's mine and right on time!

I truly enjoyed this, Brother..... I love how it evolved from despair to determination, from victim to victor, from hopelessness to hope.

The highlighted lines were my favorites.

    ....so poignant.

....like Sister Coco says, I felt this one "SOUL DEEP."
