    how many know that the name[LIBERTY]in the famous bell in pennsylvania has nothing to do with the american revolution but was so named in 1839 by antislavery activist meaning freedom for blacks.

    True ! Abolitionists adopted the bell as a symbol for the movement in 1837. They also named it the "Liberty Bell", before that it was just called "The State House Bell.
