    i took it all in
    like a soldier
    i held my ground
    yah i did.
    u thought i'd faulter,
    if u didn't bend
    take ur offer
    to be my friend.
    watered down like
    sands at shore
    flimsy aplologies
    and nothing more.

    i fought thru tears
    and the need to agree
    to end the fight
    tween u and me.
    Engraved your voice
    into my brain
    so when i want to
    i can hear it again.

    but still i fought
    u pushed big and small
    disguised as mere gesture
    my back against the wall.

    and thru red eyes
    tears filled with sorrow
i let u go, for many
    tomorrows
but i know u'll call again
    but this time without
    that bull!@!$
    talking bout
    let's just be friends
    cuz u will have
    learned ur lesson.

    A most powerfully penned piece~!~
    I especially liked these lines:

    Engraved your voice
    into my brain
    so when i want to
    i can hear it again.

this piece , inspired by the 4 hour long talk with my ex, listening to him explain why after all this time, he decides we need to work or being friends, work or being friends? when that's what i wanted longggg ago, and he turned on me. he wants contact, with no romance. NO WAY!
