Wish I could see you Leah Ruth
Be consumed by your love
Enlightened by your truth
Be hypnotized by you warm brown eyes
From the rhythm in your voice, be mesmorized

I never knew what a saint you were
Never knew you touched so many
I kept you selfishly
Or so I thought
Thinking I was the only one
Who learned from the lessons you taught

No one but me called you Leah Ruth
I wonder why you let me
Guess you knew it was supposed to be
Like everything else
You handled it lovingly...honestly

Leah Ruth, of yourself you always gave
It seemed like you never got your turn
You never stifled my adventourous soul
Your only requirement was that I love and learn

I've learned alot and loved even more
As I moved about from town to town
And now in these delicate times with so much in balance
With a smile on your face you would break it all down

Leah Ruth
You rest with the Father in eternal peace
So deserving are you of his promised blessings

You gave me life, you gave me freedom
Naturally unique, there could never be another
Like you Leah Ruth, my loving mother

Happy Mother's Day
