Peace and Blessings Family,

As i heard myself discussing the Latina that was chosen as the Sexiest Woman of the Year, in Black Men Magazine ... i stumbled over the term ... Latina / Latino.

Just wasn't sure which was correct.

So ... can yall tell me ... which is correct ... or are they both correct?

Is it Latina or Latino? Is that term gender based?

Thanks in advance.

Peace and Love

Ohhhhh Sister Blue ... thank you so much! See ... i didn't have a clue ... no wonder i was stumbling! I probably called her a Latino in chat yesterday, going back and forth, not sure what to say! :)

This brings up some other questions, but i'm gonna do a little research first ... get the question clear in my mind.

In the meantime ... Thank You Thank You Thank You!

Does Hispanic cover everybody? Anyone of latina or latino variety?:spin:
Hispanic refers to someone of Spanish origin or simply a Spanish speaking person.
Latino refers to someone with origins from any Latin country (which could be Portugal, Spain, Italy, etc.)

For example, a Brazilian would be Latino, but not Hispanic.
