Black Relationships : Ladies: What is your definition of a "nice guy"?

some sisters have difficulty being treated nice.

Usually, these are women who have faced abuse in some form or another, and sometimes they don't even know they've been abused.

Some see being treated nice, especially by men, as just a farce, and only a means for a man to try to get sex out of you. There are many young girls that have faced that situation; have things done for them, then a guy will guilt them into sex, and being afraid, they do it, and forever carry this thought of men with them into womanhood.

There are so many reasons why some women brush off guys that will actually do them well, so we can't judge, nor should every woman be labelled as not being able to handle nice guys because of another woman's reaction to them.

you talking about cats who are NOT nice.

have you ever met a nice guy? (besides me)
what is your definition of a nice brother?
would you like to have a nice guy in your life?
i hope you already do.

And you're talking about sisters who CAN'T handle a nice guy, so what's the difference in what you are posting? Why do you get to do so, but she can't?

To know nice, you must first know "not nice."

have you ever met a nice guy? (besides me)
Since I've never met you, that eliminates an "uh, oh" response. :)

what is your definition of a nice brother?
One who knows who he is, treats others fairly and with respect and will, on occasion, extend a helping hand to another.

would you like to have a nice guy in your life?

I have several, but there's always room for more.

i hope you already do.

See above. :bellydance:

What I've noticed is a lot of nice guys sometimes don't even realize how nice they are; they never really tally it to themselves as a plus, like, "I'm nice, I'm sweet, I'm attractive...", but see being nice as something that should come naturally to a guy's(or person's) personality.

That's why it's not so easy as a guy saying, "I'm nice" to spot a genuinely nice guy!

I think it comes from that "nice guys finish last" thingey. Guys who are nice because they WANT to be nice are winners, not losers, thus don't usually define themselves as "nice." Also, it's like I said - doormats will almost ALWAYS say they're "nice." What man wants to be lumped in with that crowd? Point is, "nice" is not a word one thinks of as "masculine" or "macho."

P.S.
A man I consider to be masculine/macho who tells me that he's nice, well, pretty much got me!
