A an homage to our great ancestry.
No Santa Clause no star upon a tree.
But celebrating the aspects that come together to make we.
These special days commemorate nothing but love devoid of hate.
A place in my heart rekindled all year, but celebrated and held dear.
And though it comes but once a year...
It's beauty can spread so much cheer.
The ceremony of the lighting of the candles, the red, the black the green
They mean so many different things but we celebrate the very special thing.
That marks a time of black edification, rejuvenation and celebration of
being a people with roots so deep...
Kwanzaa is to me...the gift of being BLACK and UNIFED and FREE!

Blessings on Your house...I'm in a "Black state of mind"! :read:
