    Habari Gani?
    What's the News?
Standing up for what's right and sharing our views.
The second night of Kwanzaa a traditon not a fad.
My family always practiced it for this I am glad.
    Self-Determination...Determination of self...Not just for
    you but for everyone else.
The second red candle is lit, representing the blood that
was shed in the revolution's yet to come and the battles
    that we led.
Our own Winter celebration , we don't stop at December
25th, we give a different kind of gift.
Handmade and significant and something from the heart.
Non-commercial and unique to end , to start...
Many don't even know what this celebration really means,
instead their heads are buried in the TV watching the
debauchery of the latest serial killer/rapist fiend.
Fasting from sunrise to sunset...lest we forget , we ain't made
it to the promise land yet.
Honoring our ancestors who have gone on before.
We fly our bendera; Black is for the color of our people,
Red is for our continuing struggle and the blood that was shed,Green is for the lush, rolling hills of our beautiful Motherland, Africa. Green is for the color of hope and represented by our African American children...they grow so that we might show we grow from what we know.
In hopes I gave you something to share with our youth...an unending gift I offer the gift of TRUTH!
Kujichagulia: I am determined to move into the future with hope, faith and respect for the Ancestors who died that we may live free. Now tell me what dear friend in all you do...does Kujichagulia mean to you!
