I dont understand how in the world such a woman could or would be invited into a forum supposedly designed for black people.
Have any of your never heard the psychotic ramblings of this woman"?
How is she representative of anything positive that our people-- especially our women-- are supposed to be picking up and listening to?
There was a time and a place whereas the concept of black feminism and folks discussions/debates/etc. led some black females as well as black males to attempt a candid and honest series of exchanges with each other about our feelings and thoughts about the allege or real shortcomings of the other...
Yes...
That time came and went via the likes of Alice Walker and Michelle Wallace etc.
But
Did it really?
There is also my belief or guess some past or present clashes did or do revolve around the black male notions associated with certain black nationalist/afrocentric oriented males in general, devotees of Islam etc. in particular...
Flashforward and a particular self proclaimed modern day black feminist-- by the name of Kola Boof-- has brought her share of comments/criticisms/etc. into the mix...
Why do I know this:
I came across her via my FACEBOOK site!
And I do love a challenge!
But I said/wrote/etc. all of that to make a plea and a suggestion?
Number one:
Let us always keep in mind the exceptions are those continental africans who do reach out to us in the states...
Number two:
Sometimes continental africans are far less well informed about us as too many of us tend to be misinformed about them too...
Number three:
One needs to be able and willing to weigh the pros and cons of all sorts of peoples insights etc.
No...
I am no groupie seeking out a guru...
But...
I do realize the shortcomings of the younger version...
And...
For the sake of today's generations:
Others must do likewise...
One day Kola will have to do the same...
FYI...
