The controversial author and activist is scheduled to come to chat here at Destee's on Tuesday evening, April 18, 2006 at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST, and ALL are invited. Her 'tough love' stance on empowering the Black man and Black woman all over this globe has caused much controversy among those factions who are unwilling to challenge or expand their notions about white/nonblack 'supremacy'. Ms. Boof will be available to tell her own story and answer most of your questions about her work, life, and/or activism. For those not familiar with her, please check out her autobiography ("Diary of a Lost Girl: The Autobiography of Kola Boof") and the following links which contain very interesting reading to say the least.....

Once you've read the materials----for the sake of allowing the session to be smoothly moderated, please p.m. me the questions you may want to ask Ms. Boof that evening, and I will process and forward them to the appropriate sources! Please try to do that by no later than this Saturday evening or early Sunday (April 15/16) at the latest.

Thanks for the links and info.

:) You're welcome.....but do keep an open mind while you read. There will be some things you may not agree with....others you may totally identify with. At any rate, she brings a fairly 'fresh' and brutally honest outlook on our experiences as a race....and that is not always easy to swallow. Also, please forward any questions you may have to me as soon as you can.....THANKS!
