I was asked a question tonight concerning the Khemetic origin of this word. I have yet to answer this question and instead decided to ask a related question myself, openly. I am familiar with the concept of Ma'at and the 42 Negative confessions, of which some claim there are actually 77.

I also know about the Weighing of the Soul but I do not exactly what word in MEROITIC translates into sin. Perhaps someone can help us out here.

Peace

In reality here are not 42 negative confessions but 142. As for the word 'sin" there is none. the word they used for evil was "Isfet or isefet" as it is spelled in some places.

LOL! I am aware that there are more than 42 Negative Confessions which is why I said some people claim there are 77. Thanks for your response. I did not think there was a word for "sin" and I didnt want to give the wrong information which is why I asked openly.
